FAQ
Questions We Are Often Asked
Short, straight answers. If yours is not here, email inquiries@organicstandard.jp.
Can You Guarantee a Top Spot on Google Maps or a Mention in ChatGPT?
No. Google and the AI companies decide their own results and change them without notice, so no one can honestly promise a position or a mention.
What we do guarantee is the work: Step 1 finds 10 or more concrete fixes or you get a full refund, and any listed monthly task we miss is credited on your next invoice (or refunded after your last month). Tasks we cannot do because we are waiting on you (photos, approvals or access) are not credited.
Do You Need Our Google Password?
Never. You add us as a Manager on your Google Business Profile, which takes about two minutes, and you can remove us at any time. You own every account. For website pages, we use an Editor account you create, never an owner or admin login.
Do You Work in Japanese?
Lightly, and only on your Google Maps listing and other map listings: a Japanese version of your profile description, replies to Japanese reviews from templates you approve, and the same Japanese name, address and phone everywhere.
You can email us in Japanese and we will answer in Japanese. Everything else, including all AI work, calls and reports, is in English.
How Long Is the Contract?
Step 1 is a one-time project.
- Your retainer starts on the 1st of the month after you sign (the same day if you sign on the 1st), and you can cancel it free by email before then.
- It has a 3-month minimum (your first 3 calendar months).
- To end it, email us at least 30 days before the end of a month (your third month or any month after it), and it ends on the last day of that month.
What Do We Need to Do?
Very little. Add us as a Manager on your Google profile, send a few photos, approve what we write (one person is enough), and create accounts on a few listing sites when we ask. We prepare everything else.
How Long Until We See Results?
- Google Maps changes can start to show in about 2-6 weeks.
- AI answers can take 2-4 months or longer to shift, and some businesses see little change.
- These are estimates, not promises.
- Your first one or two reports will mostly show the work done.
Which AI Assistants Do You Cover?
ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI Mode. We also note Google's AI Overviews when they appear. All AI checks are done in English.
Why English?
Your international customers search in English. Foreign residents, newcomers and visitors ask Google Maps and AI in English, and AI answers in English draw on English information. If your facts exist only in Japanese, or not at all, those customers may never find you.
How Is This Different From the Japanese MEO Companies That Call Us?
We focus on the English side: your English Google Maps listing, English listings and pages, and what AI assistants say about you in English.
- Our prices are published on this site.
- Today's founding rate is ¥50,000 for Step 1 and ¥75,000 a month for the retainer (see "What Is the Founding Rate" below), and the retainer has a 3-month minimum, then runs month to month; to end it, email us at least 30 days before the end of a month (your third month or any month after it).
- If you already work with a Maps company and are happy, keep them; with your OK, we are happy to share our findings with them.
Is a Google Business Profile Free?
Yes. Google Business Profile is free, and so are most listing sites. Our fee is for the work: checking, writing, fixing, measuring and reporting.
What Happens to Our Data?
We handle business information: your Google profile, website content and the photos you send.
- Please do not send us customer or patient information; we do not need it.
- We never put reviewers', customers' or patients' names into AI tools.
- How we handle your own contact details, including the tools we use, is set out in our Privacy Policy.
Can You Get Us More Reviews?
We give you a simple, compliant way to ask every customer for honest feedback: a bilingual QR card and a message.
- We never buy, write or reward reviews, and we never ask only happy customers.
- Google bans these practices, and in Japan they can break the stealth-marketing rules.
- For clinics, the card asks for honest feedback only and is used only after your local health center (保健所) or a lawyer has checked it.
What If We Change Our Mind After Paying for Step 1?
Cancel before we accept access to your Google profile and you get a full refund (the full ¥50,000, paid within 14 days).
How Do We Pay?
By bank transfer.
- Step 1 is paid before work starts.
- The retainer is invoiced on the 1st of each month and due by the end of that month.
- Prices are final amounts, with no tax added; the bank transfer fee is on your side.
What Is the Founding Rate, and How Long Do We Keep It?
Our current prices (¥50,000 for Step 1, ¥75,000 a month for the retainer) are our founding rate.
- It is open to the first 5 businesses to sign the retainer, until 6 months after our first client pays for Step 1 (we will show the exact date here and on our Services page) at the latest; paying for Step 1 does not reserve a place.
- Your place is taken when you sign.
- Your retainer starts on the 1st of the month after you sign (the same day if you sign on the 1st).
- If you ask to move your start date later, the place is released; if we ask, you keep it.
- If you sign at the founding rate, you keep ¥75,000 a month as the total amount, with no tax added on top (if we later become liable for consumption tax, it is included in the ¥75,000 and shown on the invoice), for as long as your retainer runs without a break; it is written into your agreement.
- If the retainer ends, the founding rate ends with it.
- Later clients pay our standard prices, which will be higher and will be published here by the day the founding rate closes.
- It comes with no conditions: it does not depend on any review, testimonial, case study or referral.
Do You Meet in Person?
Our calls are by video or phone. If you prefer, we come to your office, shop or clinic in Tokyo's 23 wards for your Step 1 debrief and your quarterly reviews, at no extra charge. Tell us when you sign, or by email at least 3 business days before the meeting. Outside the 23 wards, only if we agree in writing first. We do not have an office open to visitors.
