You Run Your Business. We Help You Show Up.

Hi, I'm Brian Nguyen, founder of Organic Standard.
I was born and raised in the United States. I moved to Japan because I fell in love with the culture: the food, the craft, and the small neighborhood places that take real pride in what they do. Today I'm a student at Sophia University in Tokyo.
From my first week here, Google Maps was how I found everything: a dentist who spoke English, a gym near my station, somewhere still open for dinner at 10 p.m.
Over time I started asking AI too. And I noticed I wasn't the only one. Friends my age, and plenty of people older than me, do exactly the same. Before we book an appointment or walk into a restaurant, we check the Google reviews first.
Whenever I travel abroad, it's no different. No matter who I'm with, Google Maps is how we find the best gyms and restaurants, and how we find our way around.
In my experience, friends and other visitors coming to Japan search the same way. They usually look for restaurants on Google Maps, and ask AI for more specific things, like a tattoo-friendly gym.
That changed how I see local businesses. Some of the best places I've found in Tokyo are almost invisible in English: a half-filled Google profile, hours that are out of date, reviews with no reply.
When I asked AI for a recommendation, they didn't come up at all. Meanwhile, places that seemed no better to me got the call, and their information was easier to find.
Living here, I've seen it with restaurants, gyms and hair salons: great places overlooked, just because they didn't show up.
So I've come to think a business doesn't get busy on great service or quality alone. And of course, reputation matters too. But so does whether it shows up whenever people search.
I started Organic Standard to change that. My goal is simple: help people find the businesses they need, and help those businesses focus on what they do. We take care of how they appear in English on Google Maps and in AI answers, so the people looking for them can find them, with the right facts.
My goal is simple: help people find the businesses they need, and help those businesses focus on what they do.
I can't promise rankings or AI mentions, and I never will. What I can promise is careful, honest work, plain-English reports, and a real person who answers your email.
What I've Done So Far
Two unpaid practice audits of Tokyo businesses, one a visa-services office and one a dental clinic, run 6 to 8 October 2026. They were training only, not client work: no business is named, and no business was contacted.
Every client audit uses the method on How We Measure AI Visibility: a mention rate with the sample size and dates, never a rank.
Living in Tokyo as a foreigner, and traveling abroad: I search for places the same way visitors do, on Google Maps and through AI.
